Return of the Mac

  Daryl……… Embiid is not a starter over Tatum, Giannis, nor KD. There’s nothing that the fans would've voted for that would put him in the All Star Game as a starter.  Morey blamed the “shameless Boston media” for free throw merchant Joel Embiid not getting a starting slot.  What did he expect Boston fans to do, vote for a 76er? Daryl Morey has been in the league long enough to understand when your guy has been snubbed. Embiid is just not having the same level of season as the other three guys.  Tatum, Giannis and KD are all part of the top tier MVP conversation, with Tatum leading the way. Embiid hasn’t been mentioned in that conversation since early November.  Boston and Philly are one of the most bitter rivals. Maybe if the 76ers could build up some courage and actually try to beat the Celtics for once, Embiid could be a starter in 2024.   The Bills season is over.  Bills fans are mad, but no one more than Stefon Diggs. In a game where the Buffalo Bills could not get anything going on offense, Stefon Diggs blew up MANY TIMES during the day.  Viewers could see the Bills' struggles early. The Bengals came out and scored on their first drive, nothing new for the Burrow/Chase connection. The motivated Bills get the ball and do nothing on the first two plays and on 3rd & 4 Josh Allen threw it 10 yards past Diggs on a could-have-been game-tying touchdown.  Diggs seemed to shake his head when Allen missed him deep. That is usually a throw you see Josh Allen make, when most fans saw Allen release that ball they assumed it would be a touchdown or at least a big game. The Bills struggled all game long trying to get the ball downfield. With a clear top 2 QB draft class, and a third candidate being hyped up by the media, it’s up to us to decide who is better: Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, or Will Levis Let’s start with Bryce Young. Heisman winner, national champion, and one of the best Alabama QBs in recent memory. His great arm and high IQ decision-making made him almost unstoppable in the SEC with the talent Bama had on offense. The biggest question is his size. 5’11”-6’ is not what NFL scouts are looking for. Smaller sized guy, skinny as well. Is he going to be able to hold up in the NFL when we see guys like Kyler Murray and Lamar Jackson struggling to stay healthy in their careers? If he goes number 1 to the Texans is he going to be able to stay healthy with that offensive line, will he be able to have success throwing to Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins?  Well, what about CJ Stroud? This season was a disaster, but Mac Jones is not the problem in New England.  Coming off a semi-successful 2021 campaign all eyes were on Mac Jones and the offense, but Belichick hired former defensive coordinator Matt Patricia to be this season’s offensive play-caller. It turned out exactly how you expected it.  Matt Patricia could be at the top of the list of worst coaches/play-callers in NFL history. This was a playoff team with a rookie pro bowl quarterback last season, but as soon as Patricia steps foot back in the facilities this team goes down the gutter. Mac Jones had a horrendous year with less than 3,000 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. The offense was a standstill and a pain to watch outside of a few games throughout the season.  When Mac was at his best he was throwing the ball downfield, across the middle, and used play-action to his advantage. The biggest game of the college football season is here. Michigan, wait no they lost, TCU will take on the defending champions of Georgia. Both teams won a thriller in the semifinal game: TCU was able to ride a hot start all the way past the Big Ten champions, while Georgia had an exciting comeback win against Ohio State. But the most important question is yet to be answered. What are the best bets? Georgia opens as a -12.5 point favorite, but big spreads should not be new to any TCU bettor. TCU was 8.5 point underdogs to Michigan, but their Big 12 style offense and deep play potential allowed them to keep the lead from them. On the other side, Georgia was a -6.5 favorite against Ohio State and did not lead that game until the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter. They had to play from behind the entire game, including a 14-point deficit going into the fourth quarter.
