UConn (18-2) Since losing to Seton Hall on Dec. 20 UConn has gone out there and done nothing but dominate. The Huskies are winning by an average of 14.5 points on their eight-game win streak. This streak includes beating St. John’s, Creighton, and Villanova. With Donovan Clingan returning to full health UConn will be a tough team to beat no matter the venue.  Purdue (20-2) Zach Edey is having another Naismith Player of the Year type season, and it shows, averaging over 20 points and 10 rebounds per game.  Purdue averages nearly 85 points per game with help from a tremendous backcourt of Braden Smith and Fletcher Loyer. Will 2024 be the year Matt Painter finally gets over the hump and makes a deep run in March?  North Carolina (17-3) UNC has won 10 consecutive going back to mid-December when they lost a nailbiter to Kentucky.   Luka Doncic, once again, remarkably outshined Devin Booker. Although they may not have been on the court together, Luka's magic has shocked us all, and “Oh yeah, Devin Booker had a good game too.” Devin Booker scored 63 points Friday night, shot 22/37, and went 6/12 from deep; in a loss against the Pacers. Luka Doncic, however, scored a career-high and the Maverick's single-game scoring record of 73 points…..take that Devin! Doncic shot 76% from the field including making eight of 13 from three. Not only did he drop a seventy-piece, he did it in a nail-biting win over the Atlanta Hawks, the team that traded him away for Trae Young on draft night back in 2018.  I am not here to undermine Devin Booker, sixty-three points is amazing and it should be celebrated. It is just very funny that Devin Booker’s biggest rival managed to out-duel and overmatch his performance, AGAIN.
