Athletic directors and school boards cannot wait to make the next move to championships, or whatever the clichés are. Things happen fast in college football. Big-time jobs are now up for hire, and big-time names are looking for a new home. As of Sunday, schools owe fired head coaches $118 million to not coach anymore, which is a record high. Jimbo Fisher left Texas A&M for ‘more than’ $75 million (Bleacher Report), which will be paid out until 2031. Tom Allen leaves Indiana for $20 million, and Dana Holgorsen splits from Big 12 newcomer Houston for nearly $15 million. But some coaches should (or could) be fired for what they’ve, or more importantly, have not done. It’s not often that a league-leading passer switches teams.  Now there’s Max Brosmer, quarterback, New Hampshire.  Brosmer was a 2-star pro-style quarterback out of Roswell, GA. He held interest from North Carolina, Tennessee, and Harvard before eventually committing to New Hampshire.  Brosmer played in 11 games during his freshman year but struggled, averaging around 180 yards per game. It was not until 2021 that Brosmer showed off his potential.  In 2022, Brosmer threw for over 3,100 yards (242.6/game), 27 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.  Brosmer continued to grow as a passer. This past year he led the FCS in passing yards with almost 3,500 yards which is 300 more yards than second place. He added 29 touchdowns with only five interceptions. Courtesy of the Idaho Press  Eric McAlister was a 3-star prospect in the class of 2021 (0.8600 rating via 247Sports) from Azle, TX where he was named District Co-MVP in 2020. When he committed to Boise Stae he ranked as the 916th best recruit in the country and the 133rd ranked player in Texas.  McAlister redshirted his freshman year, but in 2022, he made his impact. Starting only two games, he registered 259 receiving yards on 11 catches and four touchdowns.  2023 was a different story. Averaging almost 19 yards per catch, McAlister has been dominating the Mountain West. McAlister announced his transfer after a week 9 loss to Fresno State 37-30, where he received 19 targets, which was the most in the country that week.  McAlister told Bronco Nation News that a “fractured relationship with coach Andy Avalos” is owed part of the blame it did not work out in Boise.  On Nov. 12 Boise State fired Avalos.  Since then, McAlister has opened up to the idea of retur...

Jordan Travis suffered a gruesome injury after he was tackled from behind as his leg was caught and under himself. Players were in tears as the Heisman candidate was taken away to the hospital. Earlier today, around 10 a.m. Jordan Travis announced “ The injury I sustained on November 18, 2023, marks the end of my Seminoles playing career.”   Head Coach Mike Norvell called the injury “devastating” because of what Travis has done at FSU and who he is as a person.  With the College Football Playoff just around the corner, kicking off on Jan. 1 on ESPN, is Florida State a dead team walking? Eleven weeks down and we have watched a wild NFL season so far. Some teams have been good, others have been BAD.  Down below is the spin zone for all of the 32 NFL teams.  Arizona Cardinals : Kyler Murray looks like he’s fully back, you have your 1st round pick, and maybe Johnathon Gannon isn’t too weird after all.  Atlanta Falcons   If you like Arthur Smith he’ll be back for another year.
